I “retired” once from the biz, but am so grateful for the distraction and creativity, and the trust of my clients.

As usual Mo Crow has it right! I remember when I living in Seattle and perfecting poverty and obscurity, an artist friend patiently explained to me that the great thing about a job is that it has income–“it comes in, month after month.” Hooray for day jobs that don’t shred our souls!
